Backups Migrating to a New Device

I like to use WD drives for archiving digital content from my devices.

To ensure you don't lose anything important, focus on these essential folders and locations on your Android Device

  • DCIM (Digital Camera Images): The most critical folder. Located in Internal Storage/DCIM, it contains your main camera photos, videos, and screenshots. 
  • Pictures: Located in Internal Storage/Pictures, this holds downloaded images, GIFs, and media saved from social media apps like WhatsApp or Instagram.
  • Downloads: Found at Internal Storage/Downloads, this contains PDFs, documents, and files you’ve downloaded from the web.
  • Documents: Located at Internal Storage/Documents, this is where many apps and text editors save your saved work and PDFs.
  • Voice Recorder: If you use the native app, recordings are saved in Internal Storage/Recordings/Voice Recorder.
Don't take a chance on loosing important pictures and other digital content on your device.
