Can adding a Vitamin K supplement Help Lower Blood Pressure?

Vitamin K has been shown to have a beneficial effect on blood pressure. According to a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, vitamin K supplementation can significantly reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure in individuals with hypertension. The study suggests that vitamin K may act as a natural inhibitor of vascular calcification, which is a contributing factor to high blood pressure.

Another study published in the International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition found that vitamin K intake is inversely associated with blood pressure in healthy men and women. This suggests that increasing vitamin K intake through diet or supplements may help to lower blood pressure.
